A lot of patio heater chatter in online forums mentions PatioFyre. This new-ish small company makes wood-pellet-fueled patio heaters that deliver clean, intense heat in a stylish format. These heaters consist of a pellet hopper, a burn chamber, a glass tube containing the flames, and a mushroom-like dome that radiates heat outward and downward.
The heavy-gauge, powder-coated steel construction adds to the overall look while providing protection from the elements, and a sturdy steel base provides stability. In optimal conditions, the Metro JetLamp produces the equivalent of 55,000 BTUs, which is more powerful than most gas-fueled models we reviewed. Metro JetLamp options include a bistro table and a protective, heat-diffusing child-safety cage for an additional purchase.
